## Adaptations for In Ear

This is a **40-second practice remix**, not the original full album mix. It uses the artist’s recorded vocals, rhythm guitar, bass line, and drum/percussion source loops. It is not AI-generated music or AI-separated audio. The source does not specify that every percussion/bass part is an acoustic performance.

The vocal excerpt is seconds 8–48 of `vocals.mp3`. `rhythm_guitar.mp3` (16 seconds), `bassline.mp3` (8 seconds), and percussion loops were decoded with FFmpeg (which removes the MP3 encoder delay), repeated from their common zero point, and cropped to the same 8–48-second interval. `bassdrum.mp3`, `claps.mp3`, `hihat.mp3`, and `tamborine.mp3` were summed without normalization and scaled by 0.55 to make the drum stem. Each stem has a 10 ms fade-in and 40 ms fade-out and is encoded as stereo 44.1 kHz, 128 kbps MP3. Each decodes to exactly 40 seconds. App presets apply additional gain changes.

## “So Silent” — Wiseman

- Source: [So Silent [STEMS] on ccMixter](https://ccmixter.org/files/Wiseman/66807).
- Production: Shaun Wiseman. Vocals: Zara Merinen & Shaun Wiseman. Flute: Simon Jensen. Guitar: Anders Lindström.
- License: [CC BY-NC 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/), verified on the upload-specific metadata October 20, 2026. **Noncommercial use only.** Commercial use requires permission or replacement audio.
- Original files: `https://ccmixter.org/content/Wiseman/Wiseman_-_So_Silent_STEMS_.flac` (bass), and the same basename with suffixes `1` (drums), `2` (flute), `3` (guitar), `4` (trumpet), `5` (violin), `6` (vocals), `7` (Wurlitzer).
- Adaptation: seconds **48–88**, the same interval of every original aligned stem. Vocals, bass and drums stay separate. Flute, guitar, trumpet, violin and Wurlitzer are summed without normalization into the accompaniment stem (`guitar.mp3`). All four stems are scaled by 0.65, with 10 ms fade-in and 40 ms fade-out, and encoded as stereo 44.1 kHz, 128 kbps MP3. The excerpt features Zara's atmospheric female vocal; the full song credits both vocalists. This is downtempo, not a traditional jazz standard.

## “My Time” — Wiseman

- Source: [My Time [STEMS] on ccMixter](https://ccmixter.org/files/Wiseman/66305).
- Vocals & production: Shaun Wiseman. Guitar & bass: Tobias Jigblad.
- License: [CC BY-NC 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/), verified on the upload-specific metadata October 20, 2026. **Noncommercial use only.** Commercial use requires permission or replacement audio.
- Original files share `https://ccmixter.org/content/Wiseman/Wiseman_-_My_Time_STEMS_` with suffixes `.flac` (chord piano), `1.flac` (drums), `2.flac` (extra guitar), `3.flac` (main guitar), `4.flac` (hi-hats), `5.flac` (solo piano), `6.flac` (flute), `9.flac` (dry vocals), `11.flac` (bass).
- Adaptation: seconds **20–60** of the original aligned stems. Dry vocals and bass stay separate; drums and hi-hats are summed without normalization; piano, guitars and flute are summed without normalization into accompaniment (`guitar.mp3`). Vinyl noise and alternate wet vocals are omitted. All four stems are scaled by 0.65, faded and encoded identically to So Silent.

These two practice remixes use the artist-provided recordings, not AI generation or stem separation. App presets further adjust their levels. Retain the credited musicians, source links, licenses, and notices of these changes when sharing. No endorsement is implied.
